The Seiko SARB017 Alpinist is an excellent choice for those who are passionate about mechanical watches. It is an all-rounder watch that can be used for any occasion, be it office or outdoor, and it comes in a simple yet calming navy color. One of the best things about this watch is its outstanding accuracy. It only needs to be reset each day if you want the time to be +/- 20 seconds or so for the rest of the day. After 8 days, the watch has reportedly had no error greater than 7 seconds after the initial setting on the second day. The watch has many features that make it a great value for the price. It has a sapphire crystal, shows the day of the month, has bright lume, is waterproof with a screw-down crown, has a 70-hour power reserve, is automatic and does not eat up batteries. You don't even have to wind it, but if you need to, you can wind it rather than swing it to activate the self-winding mechanism. The watch seems rugged, as an "Alpinist" should be. The only downside to this watch is that it is a bit heavy and thick, but overall, it is still a great watch to wear every day.
