Answer: Ours was the same, and it did harden with a slight opaque tinge, but it didn't affect what we were using it for. We think this is really good resin for what we needed it for. -

Answer: The max casting depth is limited to 1 step - 1 layer no more than 1 cm. After complete hardening/drying (8-12 hours), it is possible to create the next layer of 1 cm. Thus, you can achieve any thickness.
