This faceplate is a good addition to any lathe and it works well for smaller projects. The machining quality is good and the product is lightweight. It works with the Jet mini lathe and does not need flats on the sides for tightening. The faceplate allows for mounting of self-centering chucks. However, some buyers have complaints, such as the woodworm screw breaking after brief use and the set screw falling out easily. The product is silver not black as pictured but it still functions well. The only downside is that it is compatible with short drive arbors, otherwise, nylon washers are recommended. Overall, this faceplate is a solid product.
