- One Step Vet-10 - Veterinary Urine Test Strips, Dog & Cat Urine Monitor Kit & More One Step Vet-10 Pet Urine Reagent Strips provide tests for Glucose, Bilirubin, Ketone (Acetoacetic acid), Specific Gravity, Blood, pH, Protein, Urobilinogen, and Nitrite in Urine. TEST PROCEDURE1. Remove from the bottle only enough strips for immediate use and replace the cap tightly.2. Completely immerse reagent areas of the strip in fresh, well-mixed urine. Dip the test strip for a maximum of 2 seconds and then remove the strip immediately to avoid dissolving out the reagent areas.3. While removing, touch the side of the strip against the rim of the urine container to remove excess urine. Blot the lengthwise edge of the strip on an absorbent paper towel to further remove excess urine and avoid running over.4. Compare each reagent area to its corresponding color block on the color chart wrapped around the container and read the result at the specified times.Please Note: Do not touch test areas of Urine Reagent Strips. Store at room temperature between 15°-30°C(59°-86°F) and out of direct sunlight. Do not use after the expiration date. All unused strips must remain in the original bottle. DO NOT transfer to any other container as this will cause reagent strips to deteriorate and become non-reactive. DO NOT remove desiccant from the bottle. DO NOT open the container until ready to use. SPECIMEN COLLECTION AND PREPARATION Collect urine in a clean container and test as soon as possible. The use of urine preservatives is not recommended. If testing cannot be performed within one hour after voiding, refrigerate the specimen immediately. Allow the refrigerated specimen to return to room temperature before testing. These strips may be used as part of a cat & dog UTI test routine.
