Answer: Hi, thanks for your question. INSL-X Cabinet Coat employs an acrylic-urethane resin that achieves superior adhesion on most surfaces. Any previously painted surface that is properly prepared requires no priming. A prepared surface should be cleaned and lightly sanded with 220 grit sandpaper to dull any gloss that remains on the surface. -

Answer: Hello, we recommend a tip range between .013 and .017. The total fluid output pressure at the tip should not be less than 2200 PSI. -

Answer: Hello, Cabinet Coat covers 350-450 square feet per gallon. If applying by airless sprayer, it is important to remember that approximately 40% of the paint will result in overspray and will not be transferred to the surface. -

Can you apply with hvlp sprayer such as the homeright super finish? does cabinet coat require thinning?
Answer: Hi Lisa, Cabinet Coat is a thick paint! If you want the finish product to look like glass we suggest spraying. We would suggest trying the sprayer without thinning it on a random piece of spare wood and see how the paint performs . but make sure you treat the spare wood as you would your cabinet doors with sanding and coats of paint.
