The poles are easy to assemble and use, and come with heavy plastic caps for the ground end and pins on the other end for tarp grommets or rope loops. The poles extend just like tent poles and are 3/4 inch in diameter, and include metal wire shock cord. These poles are not adjustable, however, they are strong and durable with no failure, being made of steel. They also come with bags to keep them organized. These poles are not ideal for backpacking use since they are heavy and weighty.
