However, it does wear out quickly, so the included Nagura stone for flattening is appreciated. The stone has a plastic rim in the middle of it, so it can be removed from the base if needed. The base is reusable and fits other combination stones from the same manufacturer. The stone set includes a cleaning stone, and it is splash and go, so there is no need to wait for it to soak for too long. The 1000/6000 version is preferred over the 1000/3000 version.
