What material is used for the spade plugs?
Answer: The spade plugs are made of High-Purity Purple Copper. -

Does the plating contain nickel?
Answer: No, the plating is Pure Hanging Silver directly over Purple Copper. -

How is the connection between plug and conductor created?
Answer: The connection is made using the Cold-Weld System, resulting in a better sound quality. -
Question:
What is the width of the spade terminal?
Answer: These fit 1/4" and 5/16" binding posts. The really old MacIntosh amps take a 3/16" spade. These will be too big for the older amp. -
Question:
What conductor size (AWG) do these connectors accept?
Answer: I used a true 10 AWG. I used them to hook up a 7200 Denon receiver to Martin Logan speakers. I used a very expensive 10 AWG wire which guaranteed me a thick pure copper connection. -
Question:
Anyone know of the difference between 100 & 300 series?
Answer: There are a few differences, but the main difference is the series 300 has strain relief, whereas the 100 do not. Strain relief is important.
