The ColouredPeas 2021 Cobbler Sewing Machine is a decently priced option for those looking to sew leather, shoes, bags, clothes, quilts, coats, or trousers. The machine comes with an electrical and manual set, as well as one needle and 2 bobbins. It uses #18-110 type 15x1 needles for T70 & T90 nylon, but may require #20-125 type 15x1 needles for heavier T135 thread on heavier leather or multiple layers of heavy canvas. The maximum sewing thickness allowed is 0.48 inches. While the machine may seem awkward and crude at first, it can be adjusted to work well on leather, web gear, thick fabrics, and other items. However, customers have reported that it takes a lot of oil to prevent rust and lots of tinkering and adjusting to get the machine running smoothly. The instruction manual is inadequate, but helpful YouTube videos abound online. Several customers report the machine arriving with rust damage, and others had trouble installing the bobbins without instructions. Additional spare parts are included, but some did not fit the machine. Overall, the ColouredPeas 2021 Cobbler Sewing Machine is a good value for the price, but requires patience and tinkering to master.
