The NDS 118-12 Pro-Span 1-1/4" Expansion Repair Coupling is designed to connect to sch. 40 pipe, meaning it is not compatible with black poly tubing. The thicker end of the coupling should fit directly over the damaged pipe, with the other end connecting to a coupler attached to the pipe on the other side of the break. It is easy to install by cutting out the damaged section, and customers have reported successful repairs of both irrigation and water pipes. One customer noted that a coupling and a 22.5 degree angle may be needed to work around obstacles.
