    Answer: Absolutely, if you're willing to do whatever it takes to remove it permanently. It won't just screw off like some studs. I recommend leaving it on, otherwise it would be difficult to open the knife. Most of the blade is covered by the handle when closed.

    Answer: 3 1/2 inch (9cm) long, ~1 inch (3cm) wide as the top of handle and ~3/4 inch (2cm) toward the bottom of handle, ~< 1/2 inch (1cm) thick. Measured with a ruler and not specific manufacturer specs, still should be accurate enough for most purposes.
