The Zerostart 3400108 Filter Heater is a constant 100W heater that warms up diesel fuel filters. The FAQ section explains that it operates at 130-140°F and heats fuel in the filter to 60-70 degrees, but usage is not recommended above 60°F ambient. It only works on metal diesel fuel filters and could damage plastic fuel bowls. Customers found the product easy to install and effective on their old and cold-blooded tractors, auxiliary fuel tanks and even in fleet maintenance situations. One customer saved money by installing it to his old diesel truck instead of buying a $1500 fuel filter unit. However, one customer found it ineffective for their 6.0 powerstroke. The product’s voltage and amperage requirements are 100 watts on 120V at 0.83A and on 12V at 8.3A, respectively.
