Which bike did you install the backrest on?
Answer: The order form makes you put down the bike so the product fits. It was the VTX Honda 1300 that I ordered it for, and it fit nicely and works well. The screws that come with the kit could be a 1/4 inch shorter, though, to eliminate possible holes being worn in the rear seat. I cut mine off; however, if you are not careful doing this, you can cause yourself untold grief trying to start the cut-off screws. -
Question:
This backrest is listed for a VTX1300/1800/R/S. The VTX1300 and VTX1800 seats are quite different. Which does this fit?
Answer: It fits my 2001 VTX 1800R perfectly, and it attaches to the passenger seat NOT the bike. It took about 10 minutes to install. The best MOD I made in a while. -

I have read a lot about it fits or sometimes fits the VTX1300R but what about the VTX1300S?
Answer: It fits mine perfectly. I don't know why anyone would spend a lot more money on a backrest. This rest is the best add-on to my bike 03 VTX1399S.
