Will the bms allow for 3 batteries connected in series to get 36v without cutting out?
Answer: No, the battery is limited to 2 in series. -

What is the best way to cover and protect the terminals?
Answer: There are no terminals in the traditional sense. They are threaded inserts that are lower than the level of the battery top. The only exposed part is the screw heads that fasten your cable connectors to the battery. If you put the battery in some kind of battery box, there should be no issues. -

Can this be used as a replacement for the 12 volt battery (for starting and accessories) on a first generation nissan leaf?
Answer: Yes, it can be used as a replacement. It takes only 185 watts of power to switch on the main pack and take over the 12v bus. There are many people who have used LiFePO4 12v 20ah batteries for this purpose on multiple generations of Leaf. However, proper wiring adaption is necessary. -

What charger do I need if I run 2 batteries in 24V configuration?
Answer: You'll need a 24V charger under 5A or a bank charger with no more than 5A per interfaced battery. -

Does this battery have to be kept upright or can it be laid down on its flat side?
Answer: It is fine to keep this battery on its side, the only position not recommended would be upside down. -

Answer: The output voltage for this battery is 9.2 – 14.6V. -

Would this battery be suited for emergency trailer brakes? The battery that is normally used is a sealed lead acid 5ah battery.
Answer: Of course it could, it's easier to charge, you just need the right connectors.
