Gates 33238 OE Type Engine Coolant Thermostat

The Gates 33238 OE Type Engine Coolant Thermostat has garnered a mix of responses from customers, primarily tied to the authenticity and reliability of the product. Many loyal users, who have relied on Gates for over 25 years, express disappointment upon receiving substitutes or inferior products branded under Gates’ name. A significant concern revolves around the mismatch between the advertised item and what customers received, particularly cases where the product was identified as a MOTORAD thermostat instead of a genuine Gates thermostat. Customers have highlighted that while Gates traditionally offers quality at a lower price point than OEM options, the recent experiences imply a decline in product integrity, particularly noting that some of the items received did not meet the robust standards expected from the Gates brand. The sentiment of betrayal is palpable, with buyers likening their expectations to receiving a lesser-known brand in a well-known packaging, affecting their trust in the brand. Overall, while the Gates engine coolant thermostat has a history of being a reliable part at an economical price, current quality control issues seem to overshadow this legacy, leading to frustration and a lack of confidence among Consumers. **
