Answer: No, the mini water filter will not remove lime. A Home Master Reverse Osmosis system is needed to remove limescale, minerals, and dissolved solids. -

Will the mini water filter work for hot and cold water in my detached garage washer?
Answer: No. The mini water filter is not a water softener and will not help with hard water. The system is not designed to filter a sufficient volume of water compatible with a washing machine. Hot water will also damage the system. A water softener on the main water line before it splits into hot and cold is needed to address hard water.
