It has a 1/2” X 1-1/4” wide flat working surface that allows you to dress your stone up on your wheels flat and take out any and all grooves you may have. It has an industrial diamond grit coating that should dress virtually any commercial carbide grinding wheel. It is fast and easy to use, making even tungsten grinding on your bench grinder or chainsaw sharpening wheels a breeze. It grinds the grinder wheel flat in less than 30 seconds with an extremely smooth surface. However, users have indicated that the diamond dusting on the wheel dresser equals 36 grit, causing poor life, and that this may not work well on silicon carbide wheels. The abrasive head is 1.75 inches, not 3.5 inches. Moreover, it may not work well on CBN wheels since they won't get out of round.
