It is a versatile tool for caregivers which can be used to transfer patients into/out of bed and onto commode chairs or other hydraulic medical devices. The sling is made of a mesh material that is easy to wash and dry rapidly. However, one user cautioned that the sling can act like a cheese grater to tender areas, so it is important to arrange padding around the convenience hole and carefully inspect the patient's skin. In terms of size, the Vive Patient Lift Sling comes in one size that will fit any and all sizes. While one user did report that the hole in the sling was too big for their loved one, most users found it to be a good size. One caregiver noted that the larger sling was easier to position when picking up their charge from the floor, but a smaller size might be more comfortable if the patient is small. Overall, the Vive Patient Lift Sling with Opening is well-made and works well with electric lifts. One user even ordered a second sling so that one could be cleaned when necessary.
