The GEAR AID Revivex Durable Water Repellent DWR Spray for Waterproofing is designed to restore performance on different types of gear such as Nylon Jackets, Gore-TEX, Paddle, Snow and Camping Gear. It is a water-based product that works best when wet, then dried in a dryer. This product works well on waterproof materials like Gore-tex found in outdoor sporting wear like waders, fishing jackets, and outdoor rain jackets. However, it will not make garments entirely waterproof. It can be used on backpacks, shoes and blazers, and has a shelf life, but doesn't offer much protection when new. The product doesn't require any special washing of gear before use, and it has not been known to affect dryers. Reviews: The product received many negative reviews from customers who found it ineffective. Many stated that the product did not increase water repellency, and the contents did not spray out from the can, making it difficult to apply. Some customers stated that the water seemed to bead initially but did not last long, and the clothes still absorbed moisture. Others found stains of blue splotches on their jackets. Additionally, multiple sprays had no effect on many occasions, and the product would not protect your gear from being soaked in the rain.
