The hat is elongated from the top with an adjustable strip that protects the hat from flying away when windy. The company suggests ordering a size up as Tilley hats are worn further down on the head. The narrower end of the hat is at the front and Tilley still guarantees their hats for life. Overall, customers appear to be happy with the quality and fit of the hat. Some customers have experienced issues with color and the absence of a clasp on the chin strap strings.
