Answer: I never had a problem with heat or AC hitting the iPhone from the vent. You should be OK. -

Does the cord also plug into the USB or only the cigarette lighter ?
Answer: The cord plugs into the usb. I bought a separate charger as I had heard the one supplied could cause feedback.
