The Bandaï 1144 HG Gundam Exia Repair 2 is a strongly recommended kit for experienced and beginner builders alike. Although the kit has aged due to being from 2009, the overall build feels solid and has a high level of detail. The GN Blade and Repair II armor give the kit more options in terms of building and display. However, the kit is not very posable, has some limited articulation in the legs, and the beam saber is a plain, monocolored blade that requires painting. The lack of a 3mm display port and the fact that the sword does not stay attached if moved suddenly are other minor criticisms. On the positive side, the GN Blade attaches firmly and has both a translucent green 'beam blade' and a kinetic 'solid blade'. The customizable parts of the kit also offer more variety in building and display.
