The Mr Stacky planter is a space-saving solution that can be stacked up to 5 tiers high according to the FAQ. The plants that work well in this planter are greens and herbs as they do not require, but if one wants to grow bigger vegetables, it would be better to use an appropriate planter. For cucumbers or beans, it is better to add a small trellis or cage so they can attach to it. The bottom is about 12 inches wide and it comes with a saucer for the bottom but no soil. The pockets are the size of a 4" pot, so growing garlic may be difficult. Each tier requires four quarts of planting soil. Generally, one pocket per plant is recommended, especially for sensitive plants like bare root strawberries.
